What we were building.
The wrist blood pressure monitor uses cuff oscillometry. A piezo micro-blower generates cuff pressure, while a Honeywell pressure sensor captures the signal used by the measurement algorithms. Compact electronics and motion rejection sit at the centre of the design.
Where I made a difference.
- I designed the four-layer PCB in KiCad.
- I developed the measurement algorithms on FreeRTOS.
- As R&D Lead, I own the path from clinical problem definition to component selection, vendor development and deployment.
