The opportunity
Smaller electronics manufacturers face cost and integration effort when adding connectivity. Sourcenode explored a modular retrofit approach to make this work more accessible.
My contribution
- Co-founded the venture with two other founders and worked on product strategy, pricing and investor presentations.
- Owned electronics and PCB design, embedded firmware, prototyping and vendor coordination.
- Coordinated mechanical development and team execution.
Architecture
A Wi-Fi controller interfaced with existing products through I²C or UART, with MQTT messaging, JSON parsing, database and dashboard elements.
Maturity
A development initiative exploring connected-product integration for smaller electronics manufacturers.
